Pros

I loved the work, the physicians I worked with, the nurses, the hospital, and mostly the patients.

Cons

The company boast of being transparent but they cut five advanced practice clinicians from 800 hours to 300 hours to be shared between us. They would not cut positions so that we could draw unemployment while looking for other positions. They could have given us 2 - 3 months of advanced notice so that we could have our affairs in order but they chose to spring this on us with two weeks notice.

Pros

- Rigorous training program for approx. 3 weeks. You are well prepared for the floor. If you miss any training time or fail any tests, you might not get hired. - Most people train here, get experience and leave for better positions elsewhere. - They make good attempts at team building exercises and activities for bonding. - Monthly birthday celebrations, holiday activities and Christmas party.

Cons

- Way too much information and resources. Need to consolidate it better. Will penalize you for using outdated information. - Very difficult process and demands to get promoted. - Too many team leaders with different management styles. If you are unlucky and stuck with a bad one, your chances of promotion are wiped out. - Frequent switching of team members, so don't get too comfortable or familiar. - Micro-management and favoritism is not uncommon. - No monetary bonus or incentives. - Very stressful meeting production numbers while also keeping errors low. Affects chances of promotion.
