Pros

Mike is a great CEO. The work environment is great. Most employees seem genuinely happy to work there and many people make friends with their colleagues. The benefits are amazing. The 401K match is phenomenal and the HSA contribution is 100% employer paid. They also give every employee a generous amount of time off. Every month the activities committee puts on a company wide event and this tends to boost morale. Upper management genuinely cares about the happiness of the employees, but changes are slow to happen. (like in most corporate environments) The holidays are a great time at MedAmerica. There are many different opportunities to win gift cards and other gifts. The holiday party is fun.

Cons

MedAmerica tends to promote people to management without deciding whether that person would be a good manager. They also restructure fairly often. (due to the growth) Instead of paying more for seasoned employees, they hire young, inexperienced, recent college grads who they can pay way less. This causes very high turnover as many of these hires are now finding work elsewhere. (most employees are under 26) They are lean on staffing. Most employees feel overworked and will do the work of 2-3 people. But they don't know anything different so they stay. Once they realize they are being overworked for the amount they are getting paid, they leave. The client, CEP America, is made up of physicians who do not understand the corporate side. They tend to have unreasonable expectations of the MedAmerica employees. And since the client is always right, management holds their employees to these unreasonable expectations.

Pros

Young vibe, great new hire procedure from HR team. Lots of fresh college grads to work them like dogs on a sleigh ride.

Cons

Depending on which department you are in, you will be stuck in meetings majority of your day. Hard to take lunches since they dump you with so much work. It's very apparent there's a hierarchy level in the organization (watch out for the egos and be prepared to kiss some *ss?). My manager coerced me to talk crap about fellow teammates. My first day of work, I was advised by my immediate manager to stay out of office gossip (weird). I guess this means people are sketchy? My manager never cared to say hello to her team, but was all smiles for C-levels and execs. They say there's a mass hiring, but fail to let you know there's a mass firing for those that do not fit their mold as well. Good luck to you and maybe you will last longer than I did. Worst job ever!!!

Pros

Growing company with a promising future and a great CEO. Positive office culture and vibe.

Cons

Growth and upward mobility are difficult to obtain. Starting salaries are too low, and many salaries are below or barely within the industry-wide averages.
