Pros

Working for ARCW Prevention is very rewarding in terms of client interaction. There are a lot of resources that are available to do excellent outreach and to truly make a difference in clients lives.

Cons

The management structure can be difficult to work with, in that there is little accountability. It often feels difficult to be heard when change is needed, and it can take a very long time to get a response.

Great environment, great people, great benefits. I miss working there and everyone with whom I worked!

Cons

Sometimes the micromanagement (from top management) of some job aspects seemed arbitrary and unfair. Some decisions seemed to directly contradict everyone's shared mission of providing compassionate care in the most efficient way possible. I understand some of this has been improved within the past couple of years, however.

Benefits are great - 4wk vacation and 2wk sick time. Insurance is great

Cons

Pay for admin staff is 20 to 40% below market value. Ceo's only place of employment after college with over 20 years. Has tunnel vision and he is always right (even when he is not). 6 of the 7 vps have over 10 years in the one organization.
