Pros
Vizient does interesting work in healthcare and offers access to high-quality clinical, financial, and operational data you won’t find in many other places. That said, much of what once made the company strong has eroded. Many of the most capable people have left, stability has declined, and the culture has shifted away from deep analytical work toward frequent reorganizations and internal politics. The mission is still there, but the execution and leadership no longer align with it.
Cons
There have been constant reorganizations and role changes that feel forced and destabilizing, with unclear expectations and shifting priorities. Work arrives in unpredictable waves, long periods of little direction followed by unrealistic urgency. Career progression is limited for remote employees, despite public messaging around flexibility. The return-to-office push is framed as collaboration, but appears driven by external pressures rather than how teams actually work. What once felt like a supportive, family-like culture has shifted into performative positivity and gaslighting, making it difficult to trust leadership or peers.
