Pros

Up until the past 2 years, this was a place that you would tell your clients and family you were truly proud to work.

Cons

Benefits have been watered down. Incentive plan drastically changed and is demotivated many of the staff. There is a constant fear of “who’s next” in the layoff lottery which has been going on for over 2 years. Layoffs impacted the highest level talent who were replaced with unknowns in the industry, many with no consulting experience and some with even less relevant backgrounds to the role hired for. Mergers /acquisitions gave executive level roles to clearly unqualified people in principal and VP /SVP roles. The ‘best place to work’ badge is not accurate. The culture has become one of fear and few people known to this author still enjoy the work.

Pros

Before 5 restructures: generous PTO, great work life balance, flexible remote working conditions, great team members.

Cons

They promoted the wrong people into senior leadership roles. As a result of this change great employees lost jobs and they kept throwing the idea of " Smart Growth" around like candy while micromanaging it's lower level employees.

Restructure

Pros

Great PTO package, generous offer of VTOs. Easy to onboard as the employees’s portal is easy to navigate and find necessary information.

Cons

Vizient has launched a new organizational structure in 2024 and announced new processes on how we’re going to delivery products. It’s great we’re getting structure on product strategy. However, this new process feels like a plug and play without any research; the new model would work for a start up or new product launches. It feels like we’ve been stripped of our autonomy and it feels like frontline PMs will be executing tasks (nice way to put it) of leadership.
