      Pros

      Flexible work from home days offered. Market leader in pretty much every operational area.

      Cons

      There was no "acquisition" of MedAssets, it was a merger. Loyalty to employees has gone out the window. No matter your previous achievements, advancement is close to impossible due to how many roles have been filled by employees from the newly "acquired" MedAssets. These employees do not have the breadth of experience, or skills to fill the needs of the previously exceptional operations of Vizient. The lack of communication, and blatant disregard for employee well being is taking much more of a toll than management realizes.

      Decent PTO offering, colleagues, and work/life balance.

      Cons

      There was a time not too long ago when it was a verbalized goal of senior leadership to make Vizient a 'great place to work.' This isn't even mentioned anymore really, and is no longer a priority. The attitude has shifted to an almost outward hostility towards employees. Concerns that are raised about decreased benefits, gutting the internal peer points awarding system, policies that say if you are a virtual employee you can't be promoted without moving to an office location, numerous bungled restructurings, layoffs, etc. are all met with 'if you don't like the policy, you can work somewhere else.' Small considerations such as telling people to stay home during inclement weather, or leave a little early on the Fri before a long holiday weekend that used to be commonplace are now entirely absent.

      Pros

      Before merger with VHA and Med Assets it was called UHC. Huge respects to UHC! I was hired by UHC!

      Cons

      From 2019, the main re-org started and management is replaced with Med Assets employees. Reviews will be favorable only with med assets employees only and they treat others as second class citizens. Racists! They act like clowns. Just clapping or giving kudos for their own group gymnastics.
