There was no "acquisition" of MedAssets, it was a merger. Loyalty to employees has gone out the window. No matter your previous achievements, advancement is close to impossible due to how many roles have been filled by employees from the newly "acquired" MedAssets. These employees do not have the breadth of experience, or skills to fill the needs of the previously exceptional operations of Vizient. The lack of communication, and blatant disregard for employee well being is taking much more of a toll than management realizes.

Individual contributors are elevated to management positions based on their individual contributions, not on their demonstrated leadership abilities, and therefore often struggle to manage effectively for some time.
