They will LIE about how much you have to travel

Pros

Shiny office that tries to emulate silicon valley culture by looking like it. Looking like it doesn't make it happen.

Cons

Massive abuse of employees on the road. Expectations of flying out Sunday nights and flying back in Friday nights, if you are lucky. Expect to have to fly red-eye flights. They have a very ole boy type of network in there. Also, 60% is 60%. Real nice to tell prospective employees they will only travel 60-70% when you know damn well they will be closer to 100% and still won't give leeway when downtime happens and you are actually home for once during the weekday.

Pros

Voalte has a lot of great, innovative "ideas" as a software company and supports the artistic culture of the Sarasota area.

Cons

Poor executive leadership with lack of strategic plan for growing the organization. Poor morale after a massive RIF in February (folks had relocated families and were thanked with a $0 severance package). How is it possible to miss-manage growth of an organization by 33% in 1 year after a massive infusion of funding? Executive management continuing to practice the art of "managing folks out of the organization" to control costs as opposed to coaching for growth and there is definitely an "ol' boy network" of Gator alum - if you weren't in the graduating class you're probably disposable. Inability to bring a product to market without perpetual "patch" cycles. Advice to potential clients - a great product to pilot while considering options.
