Pros

Some nice people still work there

Cons

There is absolutely no structure in the company. They promote people to invented roles, with no clear tasks, while others are completely overworked. The pay is miserable and they keep asking you to do things that are not part of your role, for the same miserable salary. And don't dare to ask for a raise... they'll just fire you for speaking up. They hire only young people that they can control however they want. Zero chance to grow.

Pros

Fairly easy-going job. Various sports to host. Fellow Hosts can be cool to work with and talk to to pass the time. If you are a good Host and meet some of their requirements you can join a sports league for free. Helps to generate money for their free kids program.

Cons

Some players are super competitive despite it being a SOCIAL sport and it can be annoying to deal with these entitled adult babies. Shifts are super short which means very little payout, and it's practically a waste of energy, effort, and money spent to get there. Shifts can be canceled due to the weather and you don't get compensated for it yet they expect your full committed availability. 5 apps on your phone to do a job that barely pays you enough to pay a phone bill is RIDICULOUS. Communication from management is non-existent and they purposely ignore you. Preferential hours, job opportunities, and accommodations are given to those who have a long-standing career in the company. New hires will have to fight to the death for hours, begging for shifts in their schedule app. They hire you with no official start date so they can schedule you when they want, how they see fit, and this is of no benefit to you at all. The culture overall is not very kind despite their "Be Kind" company mantra. Cliquey, negative, unkind, gossipy, judgy, and unprofessional in all facets is what they truly are. The overall vibes aren't good with this company despite a selling point being that this is all about helping the kids. It's a job you stop caring about, and you just stop showing up lol.

Very Unprofessional

Pros

Kinda of free leagues. Used to let hosts work independent

Cons

Recently become extremely micromanaging of hosts but never wanted to deal with conflict including when refs and players said very inappropriate things to staff especially female staff. Extremely disorganized and just blames staff for all their problems. Even let the name of team called serial shooters in basketball “slip” through their filters until staff complained.
