Pros

Decent sales training, depending on who your boss is. Free snacks, good.

Cons

Terrible sales management. (They pretend like this is the best job on the planet, and try to keep their morale (which is fake) high. Zero flexibility in work hours. Extremely poor morals and ethics. Expect to be lied to, consistently.

A once-great company that's now a mess.

Pros

I had a lot of respect for my peers, who were all talented, kind, and hardworking. Unlimited PTO was nice, and insurance was also very good.

Cons

C-suite has no idea what they're doing, and are willing to hire people to chase shiny, unfounded pipe dreams, then fire them within six months when these ideas don't pan out. They're also fine with firing huge chunks of the company (including people who have worked there for many years) in order to impulsively restructure. This has happened numerous times. There is little job security here which is why I chose to leave. If you are interested in working anywhere near the C-suite, don't apply. There's no security and they also tend to be stubborn and unwilling to listen to feedback.

Sinking Ship - Faux-Culture - No Innovation - Massive Layoffs

Pros

Volusion has a reputation for hiring great people and then quickly churning them out, so you will be working alongside bright people. On the flipside, if these people are smart enough they will be frustrated with the organization and will leave for a better opportunity.

Cons

Just like their software, Volusion will try and sell you that they are an innovation-driven org, when just the opposite is true; they have no conception of innovation and are strictly a backend, data-driven company that has no idea how to treat or talk to customers, potential or current. Customers were dropping like flies during the time that I was an employee and the writing is on the wall. To counter their lack of structure or innovation, they pride themselves on their wonderful culture to compensate for the fact that they underpay their workforce and they churn out ppl left and right. Part of this faux-culture are constant 1:1 meetings, check-ins, Officevibe surveys that aren't taken seriously, free tacos on Friday; quarterly team outings -- all of these are to distract you from the fact that upper management doesn't know what they're doing. Like one review says, it is all truly a ruse.
