Pros

I typically like to wait until I have been with a company for a while, or I have left a company before leaving a review, but I would like to express my gratitude for all of the opportunity I have had so far to learn, train others, spearhead projects as well as experience what seems so far to be the most positive culture within a company that I have experienced. Speaking of positive, a lot of positive changes are happening at Volusion, and I look forward to seeing everything they are doing come to fruition. Their platform already outperforms competitors' when it comes to performance, and they are the only e-commerce platform/company that has an in-house digital agency. On top of that, this agency not only helps customers on their own platform, they help customers on their competitor's platforms as well. Many of Volusion's customers have been on their digital marketing programs for many years. Good benefits, and monthly, transparent meetings that keep everyone involved.

Cons

I wouldn't say it's a con, because I think it is really on the employee to be able to manage working remotely and handle change. Volusion is constantly evolving. While it has a bricks and mortar office, it does take advantage of a larger pool of resources by allowing for remote employees. If you are not very good at managing your time and staying motivated, you will struggle at any company working remotely. If you have a hard time adapting to change, you will struggle at any forward thinking company that continually evolves to offer its customers the latest and greatest.

Pros

-Cool product(s) -Interesting industry (ecommerce) -Leadership cares about the people & the culture -Constant opportunity for growth and development -Recognition in real time for work that makes an impact -Passionate colleagues -Flexible PTO

Cons

Not necessarily a con to me, but some people could see it as one so i'll say it. That would be that Volusion is a smaller company and thus you are expected to wear multiple hats. Meaning yes, my dear readers, you actually have to work here. However, I look at this as an opportunity to expand my skill set and diversify my capabilities. Although you may wear many hats, your efforts will be frequently recognized and appreciated.

Finding a Balance

Pros

Volusion prioritizes work-life balance. I enjoy having a flexible schedule and being able to attend appointments when I need to. Teams across the board have been pretty open to new ideas and candid feedback. The environment welcomes collaboration and you're given all the tools you need to get your work done well. The People & Culture Team do a great job of hosting fun monthly initiatives, like trivia, wellness challenges, and contests, to bring people working remotely closer together.

Cons

The product lags in many ways compared to major ecommerce platforms. The work is being done, but there are a lot of components on hold or in flux.
