Pros

- Great discount - Decent benefits

Cons

New leadership team came in and axed some of us for no reason other than to “upgrade the team.” We were delivering on our tasks, but I guess doing our jobs and loyalty does not account for anything at this place. Don’t get a job here, Vuori is quickly turning into a corporate hellscape. And they’re getting rid of remote work. There is no opportunity for growth because otherwise they would’ve given us a chance to grow our skills instead of laying us off and hiring others. They won’t even promote some of our senior engineers who deserve to be lead or principal. They’ve been searching for a principal engineer for forever, but haven’t even bothered to look internally.

Growing Fast, Possibly Too Fast

Pros

industry discounts and brand partnerships; be part of a brand/product that people are very excited about; company buzz is driving momentous sales; expanding quickly across US and world; clothing discount

Cons

The company is growing extremely quickly, and operations are not keeping up pace. Think: lost paychecks, late benefit enrollment, disjointed policies, limited training. This could improve, but makes for a negative employee experience in the meantime. Opportunities for growth are there, but there is no company framework for internal job postings, performance reviews, or promotions, so they don't actually seem all that interested in developing internal talent. D&I is a joke.

Pros

- They try and make it feel like a 'family,' or a 'team.' - Inspiring Happiness only happens at the C-Suite level. - Discount clothes, free workouts - mostly unpaid volunteering.

Cons

- Vuori does not pay their employees very well, but expect a LOT in return for discounted clothing and free workouts. Also a LOT of unpaid time with workouts, bonfires, etc. - If you are a General Manager or Store Manager expect to be gaslit by your upper leadership in one way or the other. This happened to me a couple of times during the past year, eventually turning to accusations and general biased decision making. - Trust between coworkers can be fake. Watch what you say because you never know who could be listening or interpreting information incorrectly. - Hard to make friends at the end of the day, I was happily at Vuori for two years and was not able to make a lasting relationship out of it.
