Hgst provided an opportunity to truly work as a strategic hr business partner. Sr. Execs were very accessible. Was a safe place to share ideas and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Cons

Significant differences in corporate cultures and values very evident since the integration with WD.

Pros

Great people, great collaborative environment, great benefits, great down-to-earth executive leadership team, decisions are made quickly and there's not a lot of red tape, flexible and casual work environment.

Cons

Extremely fast-paced and sometimes all the details are not worked out before a new program is launched. Can be a pro as well, though. Must work very hard to get promoted, but if you have a good manager, he/she will fight for you and make it happen.
