Even in this poor economy there is certainly potential with the company's client base to continue to survive and even prosper. In New England there are untapped markets that could be tapped and expanded to grow the existing customer base and therefore increase sales. There are wonderful people that work in this region and who are all committed to the success of the company and therefore themselves! The company also has many generous employee offerings such as profit sharing and tuition reimbursement that are great tools to recruit and keep talented personnel.

Cons

There is a huge disconnect between local and regional management. There is an inordinately high turnover rate (at least in the last 18 months). There is a lack of training for new employees, Human Resources is inaccessible and communication between management and employees is poor.

Pros

Growing company that has done well at diversifying itself. Nice co-workers. Taking steps to improve the work environment. Will soon have many employees retiring, which means lots of opportunity for younger employees to advance.

Cons

Poor leadership in the operations end, especially in the legacy branches. Resistant to invest in I.T. improvement, and when they do, they do a poor job of implementing. Very limited training and development opportunities.
