Pros

WFH, Mon-Fri (No weekends), Decent benefits package and starting PTO.

Cons

-You will burn through PTO quickly either needing to take "mental health" days or from how sick all the stress will make you. - Pile on additional partners/work w/o pay increase -Training severely lacking -- just a few hours of infodumping before they throw you to the sharks. -Prorated pay, meaning you will be fronted your first 40 hours, but when you leave, they will take it back out of your final paycheck, which brings me to -- - NO COMMUNICATION OR TRANSPARANCY. They tell you one thing during onboarding, another during "training", and neither prepare you for the absolute s____show that is your actual job in taking calls. STAY AWAY FROM WEX, FAR, FAR AWAY!

Pros

Generous PTO, Work from Home, Company Car, Company Phone, 401K w decent match, medical, dental.

Cons

WEX is a house of cards. A rudderless ship with little leadership, accountability or effective communication. WEX has been blowing smoke up everyone's you know what to their employees, customers and stockholders for years. The management there, by in large, is constantly talking out of both sides of their mouths, from the top down. They tout that they will always promote internally, but more often than not, they hire external candidates. Many of the middle managers, and the directors, never did the actual job of the people that they are managing. Some managers have never even been in the industry before they got the job. All of this creates a major disconnect. You'll get lip service that there are resources to help you advance your career, but again, those are just words, with no action. Nobody will take an active role in helping your career path; not your manager, nor anyone else internally. Why do you think you see very little people actually retire from WEX? They just get fed up and move on, finding a better job some place else. From outsourcing customer service, to constantly making directionless reorganizational changes, to hopping from project to project without any real plan or execution, to poor internal and external “double talk” communication, its been a downward spiral for years. The customers have had enough, and the employees have stopped caring. Confident in the company and its leadership has dwindled drastically, and both customers & their employees are leaving in droves. The stock price drop is a direct result of all of this.

Wex week off - for executives

Pros

Decent enough pay, flexible hours on some teams.

Cons

Wex recently announced to the entire company that decided after the stress of the last year or two that they wanted to give their employees a chance to be with family, relax, focus on mental health. With that in mind they gave the "entire" company December 27th to 30th 2021. Except for the business essential teams! Which is most of the company outside executive, legal, marketing. If your work actually keeps wex working you get to hear about this great thing and listen to management congratulate themselves but do not get to participate. You can not use the new holidays as floating holidays in advance or in the year 2022. You do get holiday pay on those days though but no break for you! Get back to work and thank us for how kind we are! I have never felt personally insulted by a workplace before in 24 years of working but wex managed it. So glad we were able to make 26% growth for your company and bring in billions of profit for you though.
