They don’t seem to invest in adequate staffing of our servicing teams, technology/product support and support operations teams to adequately service our clients and partners. Senior level directors feel employees should be satisfied with praise and not monetarily. Salaries appear to be misaligned with the true radioed titles and job descriptions. It is very difficult to move up and be rewarded for tenure, institutional knowledge, and effort in regards to raises and promotions. I have seen first hand outside candidates being offered higher salaries with less experience than existing tenured team members.

WEX grows through M&As and never integrates systems after the acquisition. So employees and customers have to deal with chaotic and fragmented tools. Management doesn’t care because the sector (oil & gas) is so profitable that who cares about efficiency. Management is short-sighted and their strategic plans are superficial and contradictory. Basically the whole place is running on buzzwords and spin.
