Pros

no longer on the team

Cons

the team managers are bullies. the "leader" that they report to is as fake as they come. unrealistic expectations that are all about numbers and sales. quantity over quality to make themselves look great. when you have so many amazing team members voluntarily and non-voluntarily leave the team - under the same managers - HR ignores. when it comes to the culture on that team, if you like to feel overworked, underpaid and no appreciation, might be ok for you.

Pros

Unfortunately, there are almost none. I always had high-performance ratings, but from what I understood it was very difficult to be fired. On the flipside of that, on your performance reviews for raises you can be exceeding all of your stats and be hitting things at 110%, but they will still only put you as expected performance because you didn’t do things like talk with other coworkers that had nothing to do with your job, and they would say that you weren’t networking properly. They wanted to save that money that should go into raises for themselves.

Cons

Very low paying wages, not a lot of room for growth, and this is someone that worked three upper level positions in different departments. They purposely hire people that live in lower cost of living cities like Fargo, and they still only pay you enough to barely make it. My boss, who was a Director, had a second job for many years, because of the low wages. They will promise tuition reimbursement, and then deny you because they’ll say it doesn’t fit the needs of your current position. I had been there six years at the time applied for a tech related degree that was two years, and that would directly improve my skills for my current position, help the department, and help fuel my growth at the company. Still denied. I had access to some of our documents on our Google Drive, that I wasn’t supposed to, and you will literally see communication between upper management in these departments saying that they don’t want to accept these skillet improvements because they don’t want to “train them out of their job”. I would literally stay away from this company, and I will tell anybody that any other related company would be a better choice than WEX. The whole goal for leadership at WEX is to keep you where you are, give you your 2% raises every year, a little bonus here and there, and threaten you to be quiet. Please stay away. Also, I worked in both higher positions in Benefits and COBRA.

Pros

Remote, hybrid or in-office options Medical, dental, vision, spending account options

Cons

Management has basically no power, it all comes from someone higher up who doesn't care about anything other than numbers Culture built by Discovery Benefits was basically ripped to shreds They will find a reason to fire you if you try to upset the status quo or advocate for yourself or employees who don't feel like they're treated fairly The pay is barely competitive for the industry, and unless you have a degree and experience, expect very little
