      Pros

      WM was a great place to work with outstanding people dedicated to their craft. The benefits were top notch and overall a great atmosphere. The organizations environmental goals are very good and they are doing all the right things to be an engaged corporation in tune with the needs of employees.

      Cons

      Depending on the Area you work in....the Area Senior Leadership is focused solely on profits and less on the customer. While they pay lip-service to treating the customer well, their bonuses are based on increased profits and no matter the effect on the customer....they will continue to price-increase, cut routes and diminish the sales force to make more money. There is a disconnect between many of the drivers and good customer service.

      You can feel good about promoting a green mentality. garbage service is a must have and selling it with the industry leader is a plus.

      Cons

      operations and sales do not work as collaboratively as can be. have not seen much promoting of long time employees to higher positions. seems it is true that you have to relocate for higher level positions. commissions could be better...better to work in an area where WM is more widely known
