      Wouldn't Recommend

      Pros

      As an account manager, you are paid a guaranteed salary plus commission. So if you have bad months, you still have the salary to keep you going (unless you care for multiple people financially). You can typically leave by the end of your shift unless you get a queue call at the last minute.

      Cons

      Poor employee morale - Management notices and has "pizza parties" to "help" but you're still required to be at your desk working while eating said pizza. There are a lot of double standards depending on the employee and their relationship with management. Management has a hard time dealing out kudos to those doing well and a hard time disciplining those who don't. Not a lot of opportunities for advancement - Most of the higher level jobs are occupied that have been there forever and have played a good political game.
