      Great opportunities to network A large intern cohort

      Cons

      As an intern, you have a number not a name. At the start of the job (June) you had to sign a release form saying you were ok receiving a minimum wage rate of $12/hr through August even though minimum wage in LA was increasing to $13.50 in July.

      Pros

      Depending on the desk, get a lot of training and are involved in your boss's business. Good networking opportunities with agents if you put yourself out there. Opportunities to go to premieres and client events (again, depending on the desk). Learn a ton about Hollywood and the ins/outs of the business. Good starting point to launch your career. You can land any job at a studio, production company, etc. after working hard here.

      Cons

      Low pay. Long Hours. Sometimes a volatile work environment depending on the desk you are on. No upward mobility to grow. Your experience is heavily dependent on who you work for and if you are well-liked.

      Pros

      Working with the top of the industry. Fast paced. Energetic office.

      Cons

      No one above you will ever care to know your name. Working with Interns/New hires is like hanging at USC campus. Low pay. Unrewarding tasks. Ego monsters all around.
