Pros

Flexible work schedule, that’s about it

Cons

My experience working at WPS Health Solutions has been quite challenging and, at times, stressful. While the company’s focus is on meeting metrics, this often comes at the expense of employee well-being. The production and quality standards are set at levels that can feel unrealistic for many employees, and not meeting these standards can lead to concerns about job security. Unfortunately, communication within the organization also leaves room for improvement. Many colleagues, including unit coordinators and management, can be difficult to work with due to a lack of professional and respectful communication. I believe that fostering an environment where individuals speak kindly to one another would greatly benefit the workplace culture. Additionally, supervisors, though well-intentioned, often lack firsthand experience with the actual application process, making their expectations feel disconnected from the realities of the job. Each employee works at their own pace, and expecting everyone to adhere to the same rigid standards can be unrealistic. Outdated software, which frequently malfunctions, further complicates efforts to meet the company’s expectations. As a result of these extremely high expectations and the stress it places on employees, turnover is a significant concern. If the current conditions persist, I believe the company may find itself in the position of having to hire and train new staff within six months to a year, as retaining employees under these conditions will be challenging. Overall, while there are areas that need improvement, I hope that the company can address these issues to create a more supportive and efficient environment for its employees.

Pros

401K match 6% Holidays almost match the federal government now

Cons

Uses Non-compete contracts with local staffing agencies to prevent you from leaving on your terms once in. Don't invest money in the majority of staff for training. Management lied about helping get Senior. IT jobs are siloed into little niches making it even harder to stay relevant. Heavy on government contracts. Not Family-friendly insurance. There is a per individual deductible it's a lot higher than individual plans even though it's per individual deductibles. Makes no sense other than they don't support families. If you have a child with disabilities WPS will not cover them on insurance. They are using the Obama Don't Care loopholes. If you work for your insurance provider they can deny what they want.
