Cons
I have never experienced such a rude, arrogant workplace that breeds hostility and insulates upper management from gaining insight as to what is really going on. • Hierarchical arrogance and elitist attitude at most levels – snuffs out motivation of staff and keeps C-level management from gaining a solid understanding of what is going on, risks, etc. • Negative attitude that starts from the top and flows all of the way down • Rudeness throughout – common for lower level supervisors and managers to skip meetings due to passive aggressive climate and lack of interest in collaboration • Definitely not an environment of respect for staff • Office, which are very very limited, are locked up by clerical staff. Even managers must ask permission to get basic supplies. Typical of a climate that breeds wielding what control a staff member has • You will actually be reported to your superior if someone “observes” you failing to come to a complete stop while entering and exiting the parking lot. No kidding. And managers just love to have that ammo to put staff in their places. • Certain C-level management insulate/protect themselves by surrounding themselves with equally incompetent staff from past employers • Inefficiencies are almost hard to believe. Company could save so much time, money and staff frustration by actually empowering someone to make very simple adjustments for a huge return in effort for routine processes. (receive document in email – print out – fax to recipient. ?? seriously?!) • Zero collaboration
