Misleading, very monotonous, lots of old people
Pros
It's a paycheck. You will get paid and on time, that's about it.
Cons
Too many to list. I started working at this company as an extremely naive and inexperienced entry level worker. I thought that by doing what I usually have done my entire life to be successful, like working hard and listening, I would find success here, however they terminated me by not renewing my contract past the probationary period. When I asked the reason why, they didn't have much explanation. They just said they thought I was struggling and not learning fast enough. I thought that was very funny and interesting since there was no training program or structure and they even told us they would not allow us to shadow with tenured employees, because this would take away from their productivity. I think this is baloney, because if there was no actual trainer or training structure, the least you should allow is for employees to help out other employees. I decided not to complain too much or start a case against my supervisers, because honestly the pay, benefits, etc. was not worth it. It was such a low-level, mediocre job with a constant revolving door of employees that it did not make sense to advocate for myself. I have been working at another company for over a year where they actually have half-way decent pay and benefits and I am a top performer. Goes to show you that WPS is a bad employer! The company workforce is largely older (40's and above and quite a few seniors with a graying hair), very rural Caucasian/white people, plenty of curious and plain weird people I have met who talk about random topics like some immature children would. Unless you are in an executive position here, most people here have at the most 12th grade education, high school diplomas and have not interacted with individuals different than themselves, racially/culturally/personality-wise.
