Pros

Work life balance is great. Treat members and employees like a family. Pay is incredible if you live outside king county. The benefits are increidble especially the 401k and the paid time off. Ceo is an incredible visionary and it was a real pleasure to work for him and his ideas. If you're looking for a 9-6 job that you can disconnect from this is the perfect fit. Work hard during the day and leave it at the office.

Cons

Upper management are great at visions however They don't hold people accountable so lots of middle managers and stagnet employees which is demotivating to hard working employees who want to move up and contribute new ideas. Love the fact that people stay so long and make a career, tenure shouldn't be a guarantee for a job. You should be actively contributing to positive environment regardless of tenure.

Pros

This is an organization that does service, culture, brand and strategy right. This review perspective is especially for leader/executive positions. if you're lucky enough to be hired, you'll join a collaborative team working on a shared mission. Ethical, highly talented C-Suite leaders. WSECU looks ahead for patterns and trends to stay current and continue to evolve the value we bring to members. Leaders are given the independence to do what they need to do and to do what they do best. I have always felt very, very fortunate - and proud - to be a part of the WSECU team.

Cons

Very few! For some leaders, the rate/pace of change if you come from the outside, can feel slow. Yes, we are methodical and yes we sometimes have - like all organizations - competing projects and finite resources. We always seem to find a way to put the most important things first, however. Some silos, some communications challenges but far fewer than in many places.

Thanks so much for taking some time out of your day to leave a review. With more than 10 years of service, your perspective is invaluable. Feeling proud to work at WSECU is something we hear again and again. Your thoughts on the rate of change are certainly timely. There are a lot of exciting changes on the horizon, but as you said, we’re “methodical,” which means we’re very intentional about where we put those finite resources. We think it’s the best of both worlds: working for a purpose driven, not-for-profit that is, at the same time, innovative and forward-thinking.
