Pros
Health Benefit Management is a relatable area of interest for many. Client Portfolio - Very Diverse Some flexibility in working from home
Cons
-Sacrifice of personal goals to meet professional goals. -Working hours are extreme preparing for a client's annual enrollment - can be 60+ hours weekly. -Employee Utilization is apparently reviewed but unsure what actually is done with these findings. -Doesn't appear to be accountability on the Project Management to ensure employee allocations are fair and not in excess. It was the expectation that Dev. Analyst, and even Client push back when not feasible. -Projects are not run as true IT Product lifecycle projects. Collaboration amongst teams vary -some work very closely while others tend to work independently and only interlock/engage during meetings and when requested to do so. -It is an bleeding edge environment (it is true consultancy) that can quickly make a person feel vulnerable and exposed due to high volume workload/fast paced which can lead to a negative employee experience. To thrive in this environment, one has to be comfortable in working in many unknowns and love change and not expect any thank you's in return.
