Pros

I started in an entry-level position just like everyone else (account executive). I was given all the necessary tools to succeed: in house training, excellent corporate training, devotion from managers and a constant positive push to do well. The opportunities for increased income are limitless. If you want to make more money, get bigger commission checks, you can, it's all up to you and how much you want it. There are always contests and the opportunity to earn even more money and recognition. Lastly, the ability to move up, receive promotions is there for the people that do well and want it. If you are good at your job you will get paid more and you will advance. It is solely based on performance and ambition and I love that.

Cons

Like with any new position, it can be difficult to get started (I would expect no less), you have to be willing to put in the hard work, be determined, set the foundation for a successful future. You are in charge of everything you do, of building your book of business and you get out of it as much as you put in to it. It can be intimidating at first, but it pays off big time as you progress.

Pros

The three best things about Worldwide Express are the culture, the training, and the opportunity for advancement. I think a lot of people take the job specifically because of the culture. This organization is made up of driven, competitive, like-minded people. I like coming to work each day, and I feel that everyone on my team always play for number one. We are dedicated to growing both personally and professionally each day. The second best thing about this company is the training. The sales training at Worldwide Express is awesome. At every level of the organization, I can tell that my superiors genuinely care about my professional growth and development, and are committed to supporting my career goals. I am a good salesperson, and a respected business person, because of a lot of what I have learned at Worldwide Express training. And finally, there is great opportunity for advancement at Worldwide Express. Promotions are based on performance, and top performers are recognized. Upper management will create new leadership roles for those who deserve to be promoted, and there are clear benchmarks to hit in order to be promoted. The opportunity for advancement (and income) is great.

Cons

Sales is not for everyone. And, outside sales (specifically) can be very challenging. This is not an "easy" job. We work long days (getting to the office at 8am, and staying after 5pm), and we have bad days. There can be a lot of rejection in sales, especially outside sales, and this position. (For our franchise, at least) there aren't any of the perks that you might see at other organizations like "free gym membership," or "free food at the office all day."

Pros

Good place to start with outside sales Freedom because its outside sales Great for those who can't sit at a desk all day

Cons

Micro managed People you sell to sometimes talk to you like you don't have a degree or a clue Commission structure is not fair...get a $200/ week shipper and get a $125 commission, get $1500/week shipper and still get the same $125 commission---no incentive to work harder for the "big fish" Promotions are impossible unless you kiss the right butts bceuase the company/ franchise is too small Only want sales reps fresh out of college so they can pay them pennies and get away with it
