Pros

Abundance of overtime when you are working. Travel with out any hotel, transportation and other issues that normally could.

Cons

No steady stream of income. Your extra efforts are not rewarded in terms of being able to continue to work. Project Management are fooled easily in believing that the ones in the field leading roles are looking out for the companies best interests. Alot of so called technician's that are deemed more valued then those with experience and desire to remain a long term employee.

Lots of overtime opportunity if that is what you are looking for. Burns you out fast

Cons

Lots of windshield time, unorganized management, expected to work lots of hours, never any words of encouragement, always empty promises.

No knowledgeable electricians as " dispatchers ", dispatchers are young kids with no field experience or training. The " in house " master electrician has no license and never has ITT tech data classes. You work alone on Wal-Mart properties when you have jobs that requires 2 electricians , unlicensed " techs " doing work in TX, AR , La , Miss and Missouri that require licensing and permits and inspections. If there is a problem with a job you can't finish you get harassed about it , everything is last minute and hurry up and wait. Dispatchers bill and charge for materials not used or installed in Wal-Mart properties, bill padding. Dispatchers tell untrained "techs " to work in dangerous conditions.
