Pros

you have no job description or definition, so your job is whatever you want it to be. this is also a huge con - you'll "wear many hats" and there's no expectation of what earns a promotion.

Cons

Have a look at the leadership page and you'll find all you need to know about this company and it's culture. "We are a family" means there are a lot of related employees here. From the early pandemic lockdown days, the leadership team wanted to get employees back to the office to maintain the "culture."

Pros

Many solid technical employees. Starting to work on personnel development, albeit only from an HR standpoint.

Cons

When someone is terminated, there is zero earned vacation paid out, and zero severance. Company policy that CEO seems proud of - they are the only firm I know of with this policy. Firm also recently 'divested in Transportation', seems to be wandering through an Energy strategy, missing a site development strategy, and is shrinking in TX and FL, two of the hottest markets in the country.

Pros

-good medical, vision, and dental insurance -encourage society involvement

Cons

-accrural rate for PTO is not the best -pay isn't competitive -not much room for growth within company/ in Fort Worth office -no mentoring of younger staff -no communication between higher level engineers and the younger staff -alot of talent that was not utilized as it didn't fit in the projects that were being chased by upper level management -although the Fort Worth has 4 departments it is based around Transportation
