The Waitrose/JLP culture is quite nice; you're treated very well. For me, the time passed quickly because the shift was broken up with lunch and tea breaks. The job is easy, it doesn't require much thinking. Night shift uplift (33%) The people I worked with weren't annoying or weird, which made working with them easier.

There are great people in the Partnership but a huge chasm between 16-17 year old Saturday Partners and the long-service final salary pension Partners who remember the good old days of a 25% bonus: new blood with no reason to stay and dead wood that the company cant afford any more. Can't modernise because of old internal bills across JLP and Waitrose. The branding is slick but there is no reason to stay - it's just another supermarket that is too expensive, pretends to care about the environment but produces as much plastic and wastes as much food as the rest of them.
