Pros

The pay at Waitrose, and the perks such as partner discount, are far better than anything else available part-time to young people with no experience. People are generally very nice, and the bonus system means everyone really is working for the good of the business. The bonus pay packet in March is pretty lovely too!

Cons

I was still at school when I was working there, so I needed a good amount of flexibility due to school commitments, but despite Waitrose maintaining when I was hired that my education would always come first, it was really hard to get the days off I wanted, even months in advance, and even harder to get shifts covered when that failed.

Diverse company excellent working conditions, pay for performance ,progression available for all ,profit shared for all the co owners ,benefits available unbeatable for all .Great team work from all.

Cons

We need to continue to progress in our IT area as we seem to be a bit behind when compared to other company's

The benefits such as Partner choice, 15% off at waitrose, 20% off at John Lewis is a major reason to work at Waitrose. We're all part of a team so you feel like you've a second family and everyone who works there is always there for you. If a customer is being rude to you, you know that your other team members will be there to fully support you.

Cons

With all the offers Waitrose to provide it is hard to keep up with the current offers.
