      Pros

      If you are not available to work, it is okay. You do not have to worry about losing your job. Home when school is out. Can get enough work to keep you busy, and have extra money each month.

      Cons

      only paid once a month. Have to keep your phone with you at all times so you do not miss a call for potential work.

      Pros

      wake county has great support for new and veteran educators. they also partnership with various universities to gain advance degrees.

      Cons

      some of the downsides would be the pay. Pay is based on a 10 month instead of 12 months. The school system does not pay 100 percent of graduate studies.

      Pros

      Teachers throughout the district are awesome! Lots of great kids in the schools.

      Cons

      They must be desperate for principals. I encountered some of the worst school leadership I have ever seen while there. I know of one who had multiple grievances filed against by teachers, staff, and even the parent of a student he verbally assaulted and yet he still has a job. There is a huge turn over of teachers throughout the district, and I know at the school I was at, most were leaving because of what a vial human being they have for a principal.
