Pros

Pay, decent PTO, overall still some good people to work with in the company

Cons

Company doesn't care about patient safety! They will cut your hours so much that you are forced to rush on everything and make mistakes. It gets worst every year. They make you do more and more every year while cutting your hours for techs, rph, etc. If you are in retail, get out of Walgreens while you still can. This career has become so saturated that Walgreens will take advantageous of you. No pay raise for past 3 years and counting for all pharmacist. Benefits getting cut as well.

Pros

Convenient, my commute isn't too bad. Most people at the store level are decent folks.

Cons

Pay freeze, pharmacists didn't get raises past two years running. Corporate doesn't communicate their intentions to store level. Constant cuts to hours. New grad pharmacists hired at 32 hours a week.

A miserable existence

Pros

Pay and benefits are pretty good. From speaking with other pharmacists, pay may be better at other companies

Cons

My biggest peeve is that they have non-professional staff managing the pharmacy. They have no experience in the pharmacy but have way too much influence over the pharmacy manager and on our job. Its no longer about patient care and more about getting surveys and pushing charity donations. They are constantly making cuts to budget and staffing which increases the burden on those who remain. If your store is in a bad area and you have poor management, it becomes a really hostile environment.
