Pros

good benefits, most holidays off,

Cons

management and higher ups have some obvious ego issues, the company fails to recognize certain departments for their efforts and hard work on the regular, company no longer allows raises when they’re earned - only if your once-a-year performance review looks adequate, company lacks greatly on training employees fully and properly (especially technicians)

Pros

Walser has kept me engaged for years now. Lots of opportunity to grow your career, professional skills, and network. These are great features to any job but the community of people who work there are hands-down the best part of the job. People genuinely care, are willing to connect with you, have fun, work hard, and get to know you. Hard to find this type of close knit community other places. The employee Resource groups are a great component of life at Walser too. Lots of fun activities and great people to meet.

Cons

Life is fast at Walser. Change is frequent. General communication is strong, but staying up to date with the pace there can be challenging. Be open to change, keep an open mind, stay flexible and you'll be fine.

Pros

There are many opportunities to expand your skills and engage with the community. Personally, I am an active member of Veterans at Walser which is an Employee Resource Group that recognizes the invaluable skills and experiences that Veterans and active-duty service members bring to the workplace beyond their military service. There are also opportunities to volunteer and directly give back to the community offered through the Walser Foundation, as 5% of pre-tax earnings are used to strengthen the community we live and operate in. Management is open to innovation and new ideas to create efficiencies in day-to-day work. There is also a regular opportunity for stretch projects to work with other teams at corporate and expand your skillset.

Cons

It is not necessarily a con, but the environment at Walser is one that is constantly changing and evolving. Employees that seem to be most successful are open to change.
