Pros

For sales, fair hours The sales associates, as well as some of the management, are very nice and fun You always get a paycheck, because it is non-commission If you can handle the pressure, and don't have a large educational background, this has fairly good pay

Cons

This is a typical car dealership. The whole "we are not a normal car dealership" is just a marketing scam. Management will withhold information to sell a car and teach their employees skeevy, and quite frankly very annoying sales tactics that I know their customers don't appreciate. The non-commission seems good in theory, but it is really a lose-lose situation for everyone but the owners. The customer specialists get paid low for the industry AND there is still the extreme pressure to sell, sell, sell. Weekly if not daily meetings usually were "we are going to have to let a couple of you go if we don't get our numbers up", especially in the slow season. They do give back to the community, which I appreciate, BUT They require all their employees to do so much volunteer work per year. It's just a way to make the company look better and I don't think it is at all sincere, which really bugs me. This is a very corporate place, and almost the entire sales team is brand new within the last couple years

Pros

Often a fun atmosphere, can learn a lot about the automotive industry (selling, finance, product knowledge, etc), each day is different.

Cons

Opportunities for promotion are not plentiful, management often has a "What have you done for me lately?" attitude, pay and benefits are not much to write home about, working every Saturday and never having two days off in a row gets old fast.
