Pros

Nothing. The company benefits sucks, the pay sucks, and they work you to death. TOXIC CULTURE! Run away.

Cons

The Chief Human Resources Officer terminated an employee who went on sick leave for suicidal thoughts. Her response was that “there was too much work to be done and she can’t have the team be side tracked.” Side tracked? What’s more important than an employee life? It’s a music company keep that in mind. How many deaths would it take for the board and the new CEO to replace all the entitled long tenure senior leadership team with outside talent? Ever since I’ve started at WMG, I’ve seen almost every employee mentally broke down due to the unreasonable amount of work being thrown at them with unrealistic timelines. I seen almost every employee get fired or be put on an “PIP” after reporting their superiors for harassment issues. What’s worst was the cobra subsidy they offered for severances was only $500 a month, which barely covers anything because monthly health insurance is like 2,500-3,600. WMG needs to offer better severances to prevent employees from suing them.

Great company but IT is in ruins

Pros

It is a great MUSIC company Great social events Cool business management team Friendly and casual

Cons

The current CIO is damaging the IT team. It appears to be stuck in the constant commotion of zombie projects and ideas, vendor mismanagement, smoke screen demos and cost cutting measures. There is no forward movement, strategy or any progress in sight. The decision process has been accumulated in the corner office, down to the smallest details. The doors are closed and one has to be prepared to be ethically challenged to survive. Good people are leaving.

Pros

Good benefits, great co-workers, fun parties

Cons

Company has two CIOs that have conflicting views on where the company is headed. The IT leadership has no clear vision. Not much room for growth.
