      It is good job if you are in Pullman

      Pros

      It is a state job. Good benefits. Good pay time off. Quality of life in Pullman. Tuition Waiver if you can get time off.

      Cons

      The Administrative Professionals that work for WSU are all local rural folk. Not much culture, mostly complacent people who are lifers in the job.

      Pros

      The people that work here both full time and students are typically the best of any department at WSU. As a student they also pay more and actually care about you, plus very willing to work around your schedule.

      Cons

      If you work as a student your shifts will be extremely irregular but there is always classes to be run if you are looking for more hours. When problems arise the workplace can become extremely stressful.

      Pros

      Washington State University was a great location to begin a career in science. In a lab where I had the overview, initially, to keep me learning. And the independence, to challenge myself and produce top notch research.

      Cons

      Like most university jobs, the salary is on the low side and job security is dependent upon not only how well you work but upon the continued funding of the lab you work.
