Pros

Flexible schedule, talented localized management, coworkers are helpful, customers and their instruments keep the job interesting. Company car, sort of.

Cons

Rapidly changing tools for FSS make it difficult to get information to do job in field. Pay seems to be somewhat stagnant. Not a clear path for growth or promotion. Job satisfaction of some field service is being challenged due to rapid changes and a shrinking labor resources. FSS training is not very good and is mostly learn as you go.
