Pros

the benefits package is THE ONLY reason to work at wawa, IN MY OPINION, if you are in real need for a some insurance and what not. Only con to that part is that you HAVE to work a ton of hours and at least 35 to 40 hours weekly in order to even get these benefits. Not to mention you must also be "financially stable" in order to even qualify.

Cons

This may not apply to all stores in every state but for the wawa that I work at in general. Half the employees NEVER show up on time to work so you can never get off on time when you've had a long busy day and can hardly stand anymore. Very poor management overall in the scheduling, the number of people on each shift, store tidiness, organization. We are a VERY!! busy wawa on the weekends and we always end up getting behind on most things in the store. Managers just walk around the store all day long doing nothing especially our assistant general manager who does nothing but bark off orders and complain about even being on the register. I am not a manager of any type and i do the most work out of every single employee including the assistant manager. only one that does more work is the general manager themselves. Really sketchy management basically overall. Customer issues is to be expected since they never pay attention or even both to look for something because they're too lazy to do it their-selves, then they want to complain about it when they make their own mistakes, but all that is to be expected because thats just how people are nowadays. When something needs to desperately be done they dont even bother to care if it ever gets done. Really annoying and immature employees, mainly because wawa attracts associates ages 17 to 21. Overall my experience there after only being there for 6 or 7 months has been EXTREMELY stressful and lastly, we have basically failed starz .. every .. single TIME!! end of story ..

Pros

-Free beverages. -Good Pay (part time). -Co-Workers are OK -Flexible Time Off and Scheduling -The Corporation itself cares about employees

Cons

-Customers were RUDE at my location. -Managers don't care about employees. -Preferential Treatment by Management. -Work is monotonous. -Management does nothing to stop harassful customers towards Associates. -NO BREAKS GIVEN. During the morning shifts, people get a half hour break. During the night shift, we're lucky enough to get dinner. -Work environment disgusting.

Pros

I stayed with this company for one reason: its community presence. After jumping from shift to shift every other day for months the customers begin to think you actually live there. I had no problem with this, as I found myself having a positive effect on these people's lives. It is a wonderful feeling when a customer goes out of their way to find you in the store just to say hello. You build relationships not only with your co-workers but also with the community. And prior to the company's movement toward gas stores, community involvement/customer service was its biggest selling point.

Cons

There are few reasons I will not work for this company again. But, some of the cons would be - Poor communication - Management teams vary immensely from store to store
