Pros

Almost everyone is engaged, friendly and helpful. The CEO sends out a weekly email of latest developments happening. They focus on multiple touch points with employees whether its a weekly one on one with your manager or monthly fun department meetings.

Cons

They're a victim of their high growth focus. Like any large company, they throw a lot of resources and people at a problem, so most of the time you're meeting and reporting to higher ups a lot. The company tries to be transparent and caring but the systemic pressure of high growth leads to ugly realities. Managers care but are sometimes inexperienced in managing people, and perhaps because of the pressure from top-down, they have knee jerk reactions to mistakes made. They're not invested in long-term development and more short-term performance.

Pros

- Smart Energetic Driven People - Opportunity for Ownership - Free Beer/Wine - Generally flexible working hours - Lateral Moves are often welcome (if not necessary, see below) - Lots of opportunity to collaborate cross functionally

Cons

- Sink or Swim culture, do not expect people to guide you, and expect that you will be taken to task when you inevitably make mistakes. Do not expect a long grace period when ramping up. - Little to no institutional knowledge (depending on the group), which is frightening given the size and age of the company. - High turnover leads to staffing issues and often leads to sloppy org structures that stifle career development - Expect your work to be hijacked by the latest idea/initiative from senior leadership every quarter.
