Pros

- Cool work place - Company parties are nice - Holds some value on a resume

Cons

I am going to remain as objective as possible.. - Manager changes are high and teams are often in limbo ex: I was once managed by someone who had 16 direct reports (they were not a senior level employee either). It becomes hard to receive feedback - Turnover is still a huge issue that has not been addressed--this is not fun for employees who "stick it out" ex: I have been at Wayfair 1.5 years and can think of 12 people who have left our team (not including internal transfers) - Since turnover is high it has created an information barrier between managers and lower level employees ex: Managers are not willing to invest time and mentor ship in new employees because many roles are seen as adding head count - Nothing is done to retain employees ex: I got a promotion at year one so this did not totally apply to me, but they care more about where someone went to school/worked previously vs. paying their employees who have been there 2+ years I am going to refrain from writing anymore because I have a lot of respect for some people at this organization. With that being said, I hope Wayfair starts focusing on retaining talent and also begins investigating departments where turnover is abnormally high. I would say get in, get your promotion, and get out.

Pros

Benefits: equity, 401k, etc. Flexibility to work from home. General atmosphere of the office itself.

Cons

Senior Management is awful, especially within Storefront. Communication is poor, constantly leading to disruption in department workflow, confusion, and churning the rumor mill among employees. There is also an unhealthy obsession with Amazon, a company that does not have the same business model, marketing strategy, or target audience, and yet upper management constantly oversteps Product Management and Product Design in order to "just do what Amazon does". No trust in their employees nor respect for their expertise in their fields.

Pros

- Free Snacks - Bonus structure

Cons

- The attendance policy is a joke. - The Ogden location the managers act like they want to help you get ahead, instead they Let good employees go for numbers or attendance, but keep other employees there that have the exact same problem. The turnover is extremely high. They fire a ton of people at a time, people that have been there for years, and then they rehire instead of finding other places within the company for those employees. They don't care about the employees, just the numbers. - Specialized Sales managers at Ogden location are horrible.
