Business Outlook
Pros
Wayfair has a great engineering culture. They don't like to advertise it, but they do generally allow remote work. I was exposed to a lot of really interesting technology (kubernetes, GCP, docker, linux).
Cons
Over the time that I worked for this company I survived two rounds of layoffs. The decision to focus on growth above all else has resulted in unsustainable periods of expansions that were doomed to failure. Senior management does not have a good understanding of the technology that powers their business. There's a few engineers that are very senior but have extremely toxic attitudes and their seniority basically makes them immune to critical feedback.
