Managment & CEO are negative and create a very stressful work enviornment

Vacation time, sick time and benefits are OK.

Cons

CEO and Vice President(s) treat the support staff like they are garbage, while the physicians are treated like they are Gods. Workers are miserable . There is no leadership , only belittling. There is absolutely no room for growth. Worst of all, they do not empower their employees nor are they open for suggestions to better the company.

Medical and university serve an urban mission in the city of Detroit.

Cons

Medical school was informed last month it's accreditation is being put on probation. Announcements were made to the university community about reductions in departments and extensive reorganization in response. University leadership is problematic. Google "Wayne State University" & "lawsuits" to get an idea of the types of things going on there. If you have other employment options, recommend that you take them. Bond ratings on this university were lowered within the past 8 months, outlook is not good.

Coworkers are intelligent and pleasant.

Cons

Workers are miserable. Leadership is Useless, paranoid, slimey, and did I say Paranoid? They don't value nursing knowledge and skills. Nurses are managed by people who don't have clinicall degrees. Too much sitting. They don't want you to even look at your cell phone during work hours. Your lunch hour changes daily. Triage nurses are really just message takers who have to send messages to the clinics, which hardly respond. You'll find yourself begging the clinics to respond to patients.
