Pros

The money was okay and the hours were not terrible for a supervisory position. Plus, the bonus' given at the end of the year are generous.

Cons

The actual working conditions are terrible. You're either freezing cold in a chicken processing cooler the size of four basketball courts or your in high temps with little ventilation. The hourly labor that works directly under you is sub-par and have little ambition in most cases. be ready to fire employees and train new ones everyday.

Over 50%Turnover Rate due to poor Job Orientation

Pros

Located on a nice landscape. It is very pristine.

Cons

The worsest job orientation I ever partake in. The personnel rep introduction was stating "if you go to sleep, then you are terminated." She continued to mention it throughout the orientation. What a way to introduce a family oriented company to their newly hired employees. Telling us that we have 30 minutes for lunch and can leave the premises, but if 1 minute late you get a writeup. You also be docked half a day for being 1 minute late for work. If you lose a finger from using their knife to cut their chickens, then you are terminated. There was also a noisy brood that really was disruptive. Videos about the safety training was constantly interrupted because the brood were rowdy all throughout the video and the ones that really wanted to listen missed out on pertinent information. They hire anyone with a warm body. This company gives write ups like they give band aids. There is no chance of job stability. If you sneeze, then you are fired. It is exactly that type of job. I would not buy a car...house...not even a bicycle. They treat the chickens better than they treat their employees.
