DO NOT WORK AT THIS PLACE

Pros

The only thing that is keeping me here is the pay and some of the people I work with.

Cons

They fire just as many people as they hire. That's why there is an orientation class almost every Monday. I've seen them fire people for something as petty as blaming a rumor on them but not checking all the facts. They preach culture but the upper management doesnt follow what they preach. We had a really good manager in my department and he just up and left one day because the boss above him made it so hard for him to do his job. The point system is absolutely ridiculous and makes it so harder for working parents to feel safe in their job.

Thank you for your review! One of our core values is having a passion for excellence in everything we do. We look for employees who show that they are committed to exceptional team performance. Even though employees are still learning during their probationary period, we want people who can show that they are capable of producing great results. This can sometimes result in letting someone go if the company believes it’s what's best for both the company and the employee.

Pros

There are none. It's a job.

Cons

Management is terrible. Beware of good reviews. They ask for them and offer rewards for them. They know how bad there name is in town. They fire for anything. DO NOT WORK HERE. I quit a great job believing the hype. There is no hr to go to with problems.

Pros

No micromanagement, a good indication is their work form home policy being two days a week if you have over a year of experience. Since the young devs are like sponges its probably ideal to be in the office anyway. If you are in the office you also will get to leverage the multiple times a month catering along with all the other amenities they offer like the most recent wii tournament. Work life balance is pretty good, I never have to work over 40 hours and if my child is sick and has to stay home from school there isn't an issue with me working from home and extra day or adjusting my schedule. Health is important. Everyone gets a standing desk, there is a BMI reimbursement, there is gym reimbursement and we are told when they get the additional office space in a few months a whole gym will be built into the space. As for the work itself, there is a lot of re-writes going on along with new software. Not stuck in the maintenance mode rut.

Cons

Depending on how you work the office is wide open. So if you can't put headphones on you may get distracted easily when there are discussions going on around you. If you are a lone ranger get it done fast type of coder this probably wont be the right place. Lots of code reviews and quality checks in place.
