Pros

Coworkers are awesome people, you will definitely find friends and enjoy getting to know everyone. The salary is competetive and the hours are standard office hours.

Cons

This is not a good long term job opportunity. Although your immediate manager will constantly talk about growth the reality is that unless you are in the main location in PA there is very little available to you. They consider growth to be personal growth, such as book clubs or training on how to handle conflict. This is educational and definitely "growth" - but it does nothing towards a promotion, raise, or additional job perks. They gaslight and retain employees by vague promises that jobs are available you just have to work harder and represent the culture better. It is a never ending disappointing cycle that will ultimately leave you emotionally and mentally drained. This company uses the term "culture fit" like a weapon to get rid of employees with otherwise great job performance. It is intentionally ambigious without clear, measurable expectations. You will see this company portrayed as a great place for young people to work, the truth behind the advertisement is that you will enjoy it short term only. It is a college graduate's first "real" job. It is fine as a stepping stone into your actual career only. The workload is very heavy, often tedious, and the customers you work with are extremely rude. There are several cons which lend a hand to the high turn over in this department.

Immature Leadership Led To Poor Experience

Pros

Relaxed environment Catered lunch almost weekly Good salary Flexible hours

Cons

Young, immature managers Excessively high expectations Not enough training Rigid, unforgiving probationary period No sick time Inadequate vacation time for new employees I wasn't given enough time to develop and instead was thrown out like I wasn't even a person with feelings, bills, and untapped talent. That's not how you treat educated people who show up every day and try their best.

New employees go through a 60-day probationary period involving hands-on training and group instruction. During this time each new employee has meetings with their managers to discuss progress and training needs to give them the best chance of success at WebstaurantStore. We are happy to offer frequently flexible schedules including paid time off that employees may use for sick, personal, or vacation days. While some of our employees find they benefit from the ability to work from home at times, our employees are not expected to do additional work from home outside of their regular hours.

Pros

It's a paycheck. Tip: Ask around what others make in the company since there are wide discrepancies in salaries at the Webstaurant Store. This will help you negotiate a higher salary at review time for yourself.

Cons

Very arrogant managers! They try to put on a good face but are smug, egotistical and lack ethics.
