Pros
- Company has great morals and pillars that most companies should model. Webstaurant really believes in having a great employees only culture. As with any company, Web wants people who are hungry to learn and grow as professionals. This does not mean the company expects perfection which couldn't be further from the truth. I've learned some of my best lessons here through mistakes and have never been chastised or ridiculed for making one. The feedback here that is given never has made me feel as if I am being ridiculed or talked down to. Instead, it is always presented in a way to help me understand and grow, which I appreciate.
- Good work / life balance. I have never been asked to stay over and frequently am told to leave if I attempt to stay to finish up some things. Most of the time I am told we can work on it tomorrow or usually around the last 30 minutes, we are asked if there is anything we need help finishing. It's really a team effort here. Trainers and Team Leaders believe in maintaining a good work / life balance here so you feel happy to come in at a certain time and know when you will get home in the afternoon.
-Organic growing company with opportunities to grow towards different positions or roles that benefit both you and the company. Since I have started, many positions and departments have been started due to our organic growth . This company will not force morals or our pillars on you but I have learned that if I am striving for professional success regardless of which company I am working for, our company pillars go hand and hand with that. it's very important to have a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit which is a willingness to take risks and naturally seek ways to be more efficient and make our processes better. The company believes as well. They allow us to try new ideas that I have personally seen lead to new roles or promotions.
-The company invests into your personal growth and has helped me become more effective with my communication at work and at home. There are weekly training about our products, processes / business model, as well as on communication and personalities.
- The company also has a flat structure which is awesome given the size of the company. We have an open office structure so we are not separated from our Team Leaders or have to go through layers of departments to get to them. I speak with my Team Leader and Trainers everyday. As we also have offices in other states and frequently interact with other representatives.
- We are given the ability to be independent. You will be given the tools to come up with creative solutions to problems. Even within the training period, we are educated but guided to be independent representatives. Our Team Leaders and Trainers are always there to support and answer questions if needed but you will not be micro managed.
- We do have an annual company party. This is an awesome opportunity to meet and see how down to earth and personable our company president is. Also, there are normally giveaways of gift cards, electronics, Tvs etc.
- There is a break area that always has snacks , drinks, and coffee . Weekly the team normally gets free lunch which is nice.
Cons
- Learning Curve. There will be a learning curve to this position. I have noticed this could be difficult for perfectionists or people who expect to be experts at this position within 1 month which just will not be the case. I am not sure this is a "con" but something I want to point out as it may feel a bit overwhelming during the first month but this is normal. However, the training process is great. The company focuses more on educating employees and teaching them how to be independent so they can be successful within the company.
