I've worked for a lot of companies and this place is by far the most dysfunctional, toxic and anxiety inducing place I've ever worked for. Similar to other reviews, there is absolutely ZERO job security and everyone here is fighting to just keep their jobs. The result is that there's an over-abundance of backstabbing, politics which contributes to a general unorganized, chaotic and unprofessional environment.
The leadership is very weak and they provide zero direction and strategy for the teams. C-level execs are talentless, self-serving egomaniacs whose top priority is ensuring their pockets are filled at any expense. Good luck if you think they have your best interests in mind. The CPO, CMO and VPs are all clueless and have no vision beyond a two-week sprint. Very disappointing given their collective pedigrees and work experience.
Product and Marketing dept. seem to be revolving doors as I've seen more than 10 people come and go within the past few months alone. Majority are fired while the rest leave after a short stint. Some of the folks that leave are very talented and it's unfortunate the company cannot retain talent.
Although it may seem “cool” to work for a place like Weedmaps, you should avoid at all costs. I’m surviving here one day at a time trying to lay low and stay out of the mess.
