Good technical team but terrible management

Pros

Some great people in the development organization. You can smoke treats in the office when you want. Catered lunch.

Cons

Benefits are very mediocre if you don't smoke marijuana. 401k matching is laughable, no employee stock or bonus compensation. First week I was there an entire team was fired because the CEO wanted to shake things up. This happened again a few months later within the tech organization. Everyone works out of fear. HR accidentally hired a guy who was a raving lunatic because they didn't read an email and bother to check with the hiring team. The tech organization was without a CTO for months, and when they finally found someone he was let go two weeks later as he was found out to be working another CTO job at the same time. So many mistakes, it's laughable.

This place is a disgusting configuration of white bro culture. A bunch of criminally insane people run this place and have no qualms about crossing the line when it comes to firing people for racial, sexist or any random reason. The engineering team is all a bunch of a mediocre pot smoking white bros. The leadership team is the same. As a woman of color you will be lucky if you last here longer than 3 months. The CEO is a lawyer with zero tech skills but some now brown nosed his way to the top. He has created a culture of fear, back stabbing and decay. I don’t see this company lasting very long

Pros

Lots of free food, lots of free drinks, Nothing else

Cons

Toxic to the bone. Some decent people in the lower and middle management roles but the csuite is madhouse. So much turnover. So much fear. Rudderless exec. group. Inward-facing mercenary culture. Constantly changing process, changing teams and the highest turnover of any company. It’s a war zone of incompetency due to ilequipped executive group. Save your soul, save your career and look elsewhere. Looking back, it was the worst year of my life.
