Pros

Decent salary and benefits. 401K above average.

Cons

Indian IT professional population is pretty high in the firm. More Indian IT culture and expectation is really high for IT employees, you need to keep up with people who work day and night to survive in the US.

Pros

Privately owned firm which allows them to take a long-term, client-driven focus and not worry too much about meeting quarterly earnings, etc. It is a collaborative culture; where information sharing and idea generation is welcomed and encouraged. In most cases, it is very much a meritocracy. For the most part, you will find good people employed with a great work atmosphere. The firm offers a generous retirement plan contribution. A good work-life balance is achievable; and with the firm's global focus, there are opportunities to work in and with other regions.

Cons

They could do better about enabling employees to work from remote locations on a permanent basis. Some may find that it is a difficult place to advance ones career due to relatively flat organization structure and competition from external candidates for open roles.

Pros

Bright, engaged colleagues who care about the success of projects and assignments. Flexibility to stretch an investment role as your expertise grows. Fantastic health and retirement benefits.

Cons

Advancement is slow - particularly for those in the early part of their careers (<10 years). While you may be successfully covering work above your pay grade, it will take extra time (1-2 years minimum) for your title and salary to catch up.
