Pros

Very good base of clientele, top notch systems, platforms, educational resources, opportunity for advancement and really good people to work with. Company is more financially sound than most institutions and is VERY diversified (Warren Buffet owns 10% of its stock).

Cons

Be prepared for possible animosity between legacy Wachovia team members vs. Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo is very efficient in right-sizing without incurring large expenses to do so. This is a very bottom-line oriented company that looks for a 15% return on investment regarding anything it does. That means if sharpening a pencil doesn't return 15% to the bottom line, then don't do it. Large disconnect between the cultural philosophies of the "old Wachovians" and Wells Fargo. Wachovia was much more "customer centric" and customer loyalty driven but did a very poor job of enforcing policies and procedures, which is part of the reason it was assimilated.
